Complete service; from new building to repair.
Since its foundation in 1884, Shipyard Kooiman has gone through a period of substantial development. This resulted the yard's ability to offer a wide range of services varying from new building to (extensive) modifications, as well as repairs.
Our shipyard is modern and well equipped, with slipways up to 110 m and a maximum capacity of 1700 tons. It has outfitting quays of 150 m and two docks of which one has a lifting capacity of 1000 tons and a width between the dockwalls of 19 m.
The main shipbuilding hall, situated over one of the slipways, can be used for both new building projects as well as indoor repairs.
The shipyard is capable to process steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Shipyard Kooiman, located in the “Swinhaven” in Zwijndrecht is able to execute any job in the marine sector in all its aspects. With its own design department, carpentry's workshop and machine shop it can perfom all sorts of work such as the installation of engines, rudders, shafts, piping, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, carpentry and furniture.
We are also specialised in the designing and manufacturing of unloading and conveyor belt systems for various applications.
Our contracts are based upon the General yard conditions filed by the "Dutch Shipbuilding Industry Association” (VNSI).
